The Flying Shepherds:
- Have a repertoire spanning music over five centuries, and perform ‘a capella’ or with organ and piano accompaniment.
- Are equally at home in village halls (a recent concert Let us be Merry included madrigals, poems and part songs of a light and festive nature) and cathedrals (September evensong with music from Tallis and Batten).
- Come from a variety of walks of life, and most members are local to the Usk area and sing with the Cwmbran Baroque Singers, Monmouth Choral Society, or the Gwent Bach Choir. Enquiries from potential new members are always welcome.
- Sing under the directorship of Andrew Morton, Vicar of the Parishes of Llangybi, Coed y Paen, Llanbadoc and Tredunnoc, and Lead Chaplain of Colleg Gwent. He has sung in St. Mary Abbots Kensington, St. Pauls Cathedral, Southwalk Cathedral, St. James Chapel Royal, and was a member of the Kings College Singers. He also plays keyboard in three rock and blues bands.
- Are available throughout the year for concerts, weddings, church services etc. Please contact us for more information.

The Flying Shepherds
For over a decade the Flying Shepherds have become well known for their choral performances, both sacred and secular. Taking their inspiration from a shared love of vocal music, and their name from a musical mistake, the Flying Shepherds have given concerts and performed musical settings of the Mass and other Christian services throughout South Wales.
